Math- Play Guess My Number with your child. Think of a number between 1 and 100. Your child asks you yes or no questions to help guess the number. Questions like, "Is it greater than 50? Is it less than 90? Is it an odd number?" As your child gets within 5-9 numbers of your number, h/she can begin guessing the number. This is great to do in the car, waiting for an appointment, anytime! We'll be learning about time and money this week.

Literacy- We will be reading and writing poetry in Writing Workshop in April. We will also be writing about our Spring Break and have a share time with our classmates.

Bible- April's Bible verse is Psalm 8:1-2- O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise." We will hear about Jesus appearing to his disciples. We will also learn about Jesus' ascension.

History-  We will learn about Thomas Jefferson and the Declaration of Independence in April.

Notes

Please remember to send: a water bottle, utensils needed for lunch, and folders to school every day. If anyone would like to contribute a box of dixie cups, or spoons, we can use those as water bottles and utensils are often forgotten.
