Literacy- We have been noticing nouns, verbs, and adjectives in stories we read. We enjoy making predictions about what will happen next, and writing our own endings to stories we read. In writing workshop, we wrote about Thanksgiving. Some of us wrote about traditions, while others wrote about our favorite Thanksgiving foods! In December we will write Christmas cards to servicemen and make Christmas cards for seniors.
Math- This week, students will find out how many sides and corners each solid figure has. We will also test them to see which shapes roll, stack and/or slide. Next week, we will continue to explore shapes in one of our stations.
Bible- November's Bible verse is, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. " Psalm 100: 4-8. We read about the first Thanksgiving. Our Bible focus for December will be the story of Christmas and our Jesse Tree.
