Literacy- We are noticing progress with fluency and decoding in our reading groups. Students wrote their own stories in Writing Workshop, focusing on a beginning, middle and end. We are sharing the stories with each other.

Math- We will begin a unit on solid figures including cubes, cylinders, pyramids, spheres, rectangular and triangular prisms and cones.

Bible- November's Bible verse is, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. " Psalm 100: 4-8.  Next week we will read a few psalms that were written by David. We will also talk and write about things we are thankful for.

ScienceProjects are underway! After we build our project, we will write about it and share it with other grades next week. Some students are writing non-fiction books.  We are very excited to see our finished projects! Please continue to send in toilet paper and paper towel rolls. Thanks!
