LITERACY- Literacy groups read many genres of books including fiction, non-fiction, mysteries and biographies. We try to expose the students to the great variety of written material available to them. Groups are working on reading with expression and fluency.
MATH- We are learning strategies to help us solve word problems. We circle numbers we'll use to solve the problem and cue words like in- all, fewer, more than, less than, etc. We are also adding and subtracting two digit numbers.
BIBLE- April's Bible verse is Psalm 8:1-2 "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise." We will learn about the coming of the Holy Spirit and Saul.
