LITERACY- Literacy groups read many genres of books including fiction, non-fiction, mysteries and biographies. We try to expose the students to the great variety of written material available to them. Groups are working on reading with expression and fluency.
MATH- We are learning strategies to help us solve word problems. We circle numbers we'll use to solve the problem and cue words like in- all, fewer, more than, less than, etc. We are also adding and subtracting two digit numbers.
BIBLE- May's Bible Verse is Nehemiah 9:5-6 Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord...You give life to everything and the multitudes of heaven worship you. We will learn about Saul next week.
