LITERACY- . We continue to make books in Writing Workshop. We are working on putting one idea on a page, and making sure our illustrations give more details about our writing. Thank you for reading with your child 15 minutes each day!
MATH- We are continuing to add and subtract by making ten. In addition, we are working with the place value chart to regroup. Continue to work for mastery of math facts to 10 with your child, as this will help them add and subtract larger numbers. Just a reminder that students love to do Kakooma. You can find this on Greg Tang's (Singapore Math expert) website, www.gregtang.com
BIBLE- February's Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." We will continue learning about the obedience and faith of Daniel.
SCIENCE- We will write our predictions on Monday and do our experiment on Tuesday. Ask your child what our experiment is about. They are very excited!
**Please remember to send a hat, gloves/mittens and winter coat daily with your child**
