MATH- Math stations give us practice in things we have already learned. We work on number bonds and fact families, addition and subtraction, patterns, shapes and games that require math strategies. We will be talking about ordinal numbers like fourth, sixth, tenth, this week. For the next few weeks, we'll be working on addition and subtraction through 20.
BIBLE- November's Bible verse is I love You, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my fortress, my rock and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. Psalm 18: 1-2 We will be learning more about Samuel. We will also read many Bible verses having to do with being thankful to God, as Thanksgiving approaches.
SCIENCE: We will be presenting our turtle projects and non-fiction books to the Kindergarten classes on Tuesday. Wednesday, we will begin a history unit.
HISTORY- We will be reviewing map skills, in preparation for our history units. Our first unit of study is the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia, which will be followed by a unit on Ancient Egypt. Students have had exposure to each of these units, through art class with Mr. Austin.
