Bible- This week we will learn about Simeon and Anna, and the Wise Men. After reading scripture passages that go along with the ornaments, students are adding ornaments to our Jesse Tree each day.

Science- We will continue to learn about taking care of our bodies, focusing on nutrition, exercise and hygiene. Many thanks to our school nurse, Mrs. Holstege, for her help us with this unit.

Literacy-We will continue to work on the proper placement of periods in our writing. We are enjoying our read-aloud, Little House in the Big Woods. We will make Christmas cards for senior citizens this week.

Math- We will continue learning about ordinal numbers and position words. We have Math Work Stations four days a week.

The school is collecting food for the local Food Bank. If you are able, please shop with your child for this wonderful cause. It is a tangible way for children to experience Christmas as a time for giving, not just receiving!
