Math- We will begin adding and subtracting two digit numbers without regrouping, using the Base Ten Blocks to assist us. We continue to talk about place value- the ones, tens and hundreds place. This week Mr. hall will teach us how to play chess! Play with your child at home!

Literacy-  In Word Study, students are building words using foam or magnetic letters, hunting for words with the same patterns in books and poems, writing their words on whiteboards, and playing Concentration. We have also been using shaving cream to write our words! Students are making books during Writing Workshop. Ask your child what h/she is writing about.

Bible- March's Bible verse is Matthew 28:5-6- "And the angel said to the women. 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he is risen, just as he said.'" We will spend the month of March focusing on the story of Easter.

History- Students will be writing about one aspect of Ancient Egypt that they enjoyed learning about. We will share our writing with each other.

Bible Dress-up Day

Students must tell me which person they are portraying and their clue no later than tomorrow (Tuesday). Please send in your item for Wednesday's snack by tomorrow, unless it needs to be refrigerated.
