Bible- We will continue to learn about Saul, and learn about John's revelation.

Science- We will begin a unit on time. Students will learn how to recognize time on the hour, and half hour. They will be introduced to counting by 5's around the clock.

Literacy- We are almost finished reading Charlotte's Web. We have all enjoyed this wonderful and classic book. This will be the last week of word study.

Math- We have begun a short unit introducing students to multiplication and division. Then we will end the year learning about money. Practice counting coins this summer!

 Upcoming Events

Friday, May 23rd-Field Day, 8:45-12:00. First grade wears orange  (wear as much orange as possible!) 

Thursday, May 22nd May birthdays will be celebrated at 10:20

Memorial Day- Monday, May 26, no school

First Grade end- of- year- picnicTuesday, May 27th, 11-2, at Greenleaf Park, all are welcome and needed! We cannot have this event without enough volunteers.

Chapel- Wednesdays, May 21 and 28. Please join us for our last chapels of the school year.

Last day of classes- Thursday, May 29

Closing Ceremony- Friday, May 30- 8:30am. Students should be dropped off in the classroom by 8:10. They should wear their Sunday best. Parents should come back to the classroom to pick up your child immediately following the ceremony.
