Bible- We will read some of  David's psalms and how his son, Solomon, became the next king. Solomon could have asked God for many things, but he chose to ask for a wise heart. We will talk about what that means. Our Bible verse for November is Psalm 18:1-3, "I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge."

History- We will learn about King Tut and the importance of the discovery of his tomb. We will explore hieroglyphics, and compare and contrast Egyptian civilization to Mesopotamian civilization.

Literacy- We'll continue to identify and write different kinds of sentences- interrogative (questions,) declarative (facts,) exclamatory (show emotion,) and imperative (requests or commands.) We will begin our next read aloud, Little House in the Big Woods.

Math- We will explore solid figures, including the cylinder, rectangular prism, cylinder and cube. Whole group lessons will be followed by math stations.

Don't forget to send in Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes by Wednesday, November 20.
