LITERACY- Literacy groups read many genres of books including fiction, non-fiction, mysteries and biographies. We try to expose the students to the great variety of written material available to them. Groups are working on reading with expression and fluency. Encourage your child to read during spring break- aloud, to you, to a sibling, or even to a pet!
MATH- We will be adding and subtracting numbers to 100. Look for math all around you--speed limit signs, prices on menus, measurements labeled on jugs and cans, analog clocks, etc.
BIBLE- April's Bible verse is Psalm 8:1-2 "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise." We will learn about Jesus' life on earth between His resurrection. and ascension.
HISTORY- We will be learning about the Revolutionary War, Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin.
