LITERACY-  We write across the curriculum, for Bible and science. We continue to make books in Writing Workshop. Our word study test will be on Thursday this week, with the same words from last week. Thank you for reading with your child 15 minutes each day!

MATH- We are adding one digit and two digit numbers, with and without regrouping, using manipulatives. We will soon be learning how to interpret different graphs.

BIBLE-  March's Bible verse is Matthew 28:5-6--The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay."  We learned about Palm Sunday this week. Did you know that the word Hosanna means "save us"?  Next week we will learn about Jesus' example of  footwashing to serve others, and the Last Supper.

HISTORY- We are learning about Early Explorers and Settlers, beginning with the Lost Colony and Jamestown.
