February 3-7
Bible- We are continuing to learn about Daniel. His story will help us see that God is always with us, and we should be bold in sharing our faith with others.
History- After one last day or two with Mexico, we will move on to our always popular science unit, Ocean Life.
Literacy- **We will be attending a presentation by a visiting author on Monday during our literacy block. New word study words will be introduced on Tuesday. We are continuing to recognize and use contractions.
Math- We will be adding and subtracting to 20. Math work stations reinforce our place value work, and give us practice with our number bonds, patterning, counting, and other math skills.
We go outside for recess even when it is very cold. Please be sure to send a hat and mittens for your child.

Next relaxed dress day- Friday, Feb. 7th
Jump Rope for Heart event- Wed. Feb 12. Coach Hart will give the chapel message. Following that, you are invited to stay and watch teacher jump rope and best-dressed contests!
Winter Break- Friday, Feb. 14-Monday, Feb. 17
Preview Night- Tuesday, Feb. 18, 6:30-7:30.
