Bible- We will continue to learn
about obeying God from Jonah. He has shown us that God is always with us.
Science- We will be learning about whales, manatees, and sea turtles in the coming week.
Literacy- Please practice word study with your child each day. Have him/her tell you the sorting rules. For example, why is the o in boat along o sound? Because boat follows the consonant, vowel, vowel, consonant pattern (cvvc,) and when there are two vowels together, the first vowel is always long.
Math- We will add doubles, and learn the addition strategies of doubles plus 1, or 2. Help your child memorize double facts through 10 (2+2, 3+3, 4+4.....10+10.) We will work on subtraction through 20.
We go outside for recess even when it is very cold. Please be sure to send a hat and mittens for your child.
