February 10th-21st
Bible- We will learn about obeying God from Jonah. Following that, we will learn about Ezra and Nehemiah.
Science- This week we learned about waves, tides, deep water creatures, and locations of oceans. In the coming weeks, we will learn about coral reefs, fish, dolphins and sharks.
Literacy- We are writing books in Writing Workshop. Some of our books are about our family, the Super Bowl, snow days, sleepovers, doing science experiments, playdates with friends, and movies we like.
Math- We will be adding and subtracting to 20. Math work stations reinforce our place value work, and give us practice with our number bonds, patterning, counting, and other math skills.
We go outside for recess even when it is very cold. Please be sure to send a hat and mittens for your child.
Upcoming Events
Jump Rope for Heart event- Wed. Feb 12. Coach Hart will give the chapel message. Following that, you are invited to stay and watch teacher jump rope and best-dressed contests! Students may have a relaxed dress day if they wear red and/or pink!
Valentines and mailboxes needed by Feb. 13th!
Winter Break- Friday, Feb. 14-Monday, Feb. 17
Preview Night- Tuesday, Feb. 18, 6:30-7:30.
